Eco-anxiety is increasingly recognized as a growing concern, especially amongst the young generation. Eco-anxiety is the distress stemming from concerns about the state of the world, the degradation of our beautiful planet, climate change, and living with uncertainty.
In a peer-to-peer support group, you will sit in a safe and compassionate space to explore & process the variety of emotions you are dealing with. You will be able to reduce feelings of isolation. You might find solace in shared experiences and a sense of community that has been eroded by modern life.
Support groups are programs of up to 10 weeks (1 session per week). Each session has a theme (like “Accept the predicament”, “Be with uncertainty”, “Practice gratitude”, “Reinvest in meaningful actions”). There is a designed ritual to all sessions: grounding exercise to calm our nervous system, reminder of the group agreements (respect, confidentiality, deep listening, curiosity), check-in, sharing our experience, and closing the session.
In-between sessions, you will be provided a list of resources and a variety of practical coping strategies so you can find what fits your needs and your life constraints.
After the program is finished, I offer new opportunities to meet again through standalone workshops dedicated to a theme (like “Parenting in times of crisis”, “Body intelligence for emotional regulation”) facilitated by myself or by my peers in the larger community.
As a member of the Good Grief Network, I work closely with a community of heart-centered people to learn, grow my skills, adapt to different audiences, and I also run the Good Grief Network program: “10 Steps to Personal Resilience & Empowerment in a Chaotic Climate".
