From Entanglement to Interdependence

Nature teaches us that we are bound together for better or for worse. Knowing that we are entangled in the climate crisis, we can tap into the power of our interdependence. In this free online introduction to the Work That Reconnects, we can learn how to move out of despair about our existential threat and step into collaborative action.

From entanglement to interdependence - how we can reclaim our power

Just beneath our feet lies the most extensive network the world has ever built.

No, we’re not talking about a high-speed fibre-optic network or even the root system of trees. The architects of this colossal hidden network are fungi and their mycelial strands.

A single gram of soil can contain as much as 200 kilometres of these strands. Trees obtain nutrients that the fungi acquire from the soil and in return, the fungi receive carbon-rich sugar from the trees’ roots. It’s this symbiotic relationship that allows trees to thrive and the whole ecosystem around them.

Nature provides us with endless inspiration from designing new products through biomimicry to building entire social movements to face the climate crisis. She reminds us that we are all connected  in ways that are profound, even if we are often unaware of this.

What if we could disentangle from the busyness and the distractions of our everyday lives?

What if we remember how we are woven into an incredibly rich fabric that encompasses all of life and that when we pull on one thread all others are affected?

What if we learned to celebrate our interdependence and tap into our symbiotic relationship with one another and the more-than-human world?

When we connect with each other and the web of life, we find that we are not alone, that we are not powerless to act on its behalf.

Join us in our free online Introduction to the Work That Reconnects on 23 February 2023 @ 7pm CET. We are trained facilitators of this powerful framework that originated from the teachings of Joanna Macy, more than forty years ago. Our workshop offers interactive practices in an inclusive and safe space that allows you to explore how you can disentangle from despair and overwhelm about the climate crisis and step into inspired, collaborative action. Hope to see you there!
